Positioning for a world GPS wasn't designed for.
Why we invested
OneNav's founder had already helped define a previous generation of mobile positioning, pioneering GPS receivers for cell phones before selling the company to Qualcomm. When a new generation of satellite signals created the opportunity for more precise and resilient navigation, MVP saw a rare combination of technological change and a founder who had already built successfully in the category. As jamming and spoofing made the limitations of legacy GPS increasingly consequential, the need for that next generation of positioning became even clearer.
Partnership
Breaking into defense requires more than a product that works. MVP has helped OneNav navigate the ecosystem around it, connecting the team with defense technology leaders, government stakeholders, investors, and policy expertise that can help move a dual-use technology toward adoption. Those relationships have created new paths into defense customers, technical partners, and decision-makers in Washington.
What we do for them
- → Open relationships with defense customers, primes, and technical partners
- → Connect OneNav with government and policy leaders in Washington
- → Provide defense regulatory and procurement expertise
- → Support strategic introductions across investors, advisors, and MVP's portfolio
What oneNav says about us.
"It's all about the long term - some investors can get pretty nervous because startups can be quite a rollercoaster - MVP has been a great, steady partner for us as we grow. MVP keeps pursuing me with ideas; often I have to nudge some of my investors to help with a certain kind of connection or some advice, but MVP is very proactive and I love working with the team."
