Bio
Nico began his career in growth equity and private equity before moving into venture, drawn by the chance to work more closely with founders building companies from the ground up. He joined MVP as its eleventh employee, while the team was raising its second fund. The opportunity to help shape a firm in its early chapters appealed to Nico more than stepping into an established organization. As Chief of Staff, Nico works across nearly every part of MVP, from sourcing and evaluating new investments to driving fundraising, LP communications, and the firm’s growing co-invest business.
Nico took on the firm’s co-invest operation early and has built it out through a period of significant growth, turning individual investment opportunities into deals MVP can bring thoughtfully to its LPs. He tends to gravitate toward the parts of the firm where ownership isn’t yet defined, taking them on, creating the structure, and running them. What he values most about venture is its orientation toward the future: asking the questions that sharpen a view of where the world is heading, and backing the companies working to get there.
Outside of work, Nico is usually finding another way to stay curious, whether that’s visiting galleries and museums, drawing, learning more about wine, or trying new restaurants with friends. He’s also a devoted Liverpool FC supporter.
