For more than two decades, Lizette had a front-row seat to the people and companies building Silicon Valley. As a journalist at leading publications including Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal, she covered the rise and fall of startups and helped chronicle technologies that overhauled industries and reshaped the world. After a career spent chronicling the tech industry, Lizette joined MVP to participate in building the future, not just observe it.
At MVP, Lizette brings that perspective directly to founders as they think about how to communicate what they’re building and why it matters. Founders understand their businesses with a depth few others can, but translating that expertise into a story that resonates outside the room is a different skill. Lizette helps them see their story from the audience’s perspective, understand what details will make someone pay attention, and consider how timing and context can shape the way it lands.
A self-described adrenaline junky and permanent lifelong learner, Lizette was drawn to journalism by the fast pace and the opportunity to spend her days learning from people at the edge of their fields. That curiosity still drives her, especially when she meets people pursuing an idea with conviction and building something that didn’t exist before. Away from work, Lizette is happiest finding her way to a Bikram yoga class, planning outdoor adventures with her family and supporting live performances.
