Jason has spent his career looking for better ways to get things done. Before MVP, he worked across engineering, product management, and operations at startups spanning ad tech, fintech, and cryptocurrency. That range gave him experience on both the technical and operating sides of building companies and eventually on both sides of the venture table. Jason has been part of MVP since its earliest days and, as Partner and Chief Technology Officer, oversees the technology that supports the firm’s investing, investor relations, portfolio support, fundraising, and operations.
At the center of Jason’s work is a single question: how can technology improve every part of MVP as the firm grows? What began in a spreadsheet as a tool to identify promising companies has grown into Jarvis, the firm’s internal operating system connecting every part of the business. Jason approaches the work as both a builder and a user, regularly stepping into the workflows he’s trying to improve so he can understand where technology can remove friction or make a process more effective. Doing a little bit of everything has been a common theme throughout Jason’s career, and the opportunity to wear many hats and have every day be a little bit different is one of his favorite things about MVP.
Jason is particularly interested in emerging software and AI, with an eye towards how new technologies can be put to work rather than simply what’s new. He loves testing new products and services to see what can be incorporated into Jarvis’s suite of capabilities. When he’s not working, Jason is usually out in the mountains with his family near their home in Vermont, skiing, biking, or hiking.
