Bio
Geoff is a Partner on MVP Ventures’ investment team, where he focuses on diligence across new and follow-on investments and works closely with the firm’s portfolio support and investor relations teams. His perspective is shaped by experience across investing, consulting, and operating, including later-stage diligence at BCG, building at robotics startup Starship Technologies, working on a manufacturing floor for Flex in Tijuana, and conducting machine learning and energy research as an undergraduate at UC Berkeley.
He is particularly drawn to technical founders building things in the physical world, from robotics and spacecraft to chips and AI. Geoff sees investing as an opportunity to keep learning from people who have spent years becoming experts in extraordinarily difficult problems. He wants to understand not just what a technology does, but how it works and what it takes to build it. That mindset shapes both his approach to diligence and his work with founders, where he brings an operator’s perspective and a willingness to ask questions and challenge assumptions.
Geoff joined MVP because he saw an opportunity to help build a venture firm with a distinct approach to investing and supporting founders. Having worked across venture, startups, and consulting, he was drawn to the chance to bring those different perspectives together and help shape what MVP was building. His curiosity extends well beyond investing. Geoff enjoys learning languages, spent part of his childhood in Hong Kong, and now finds himself rediscovering the world alongside his kids, whose interests routinely send him down new rabbit holes like botany and astronomy.
