Bio
Anna Wang has spent her career making complex financial systems more dependable. She began in assurance at EY before joining venture capital firm CRV, where she spent more than five years as a Senior Accountant. Today, as Accounting Manager at MVP Ventures, Anna oversees fund accounting and financial operations across the firm’s investment funds and management company, helping ensure the financial infrastructure behind MVP keeps pace as the firm grows.
Early in her career, Anna saw how seemingly small issues could become much larger problems when left unresolved. That experience shaped a belief she still carries into her work today. The numbers should never surprise the people who depend on them. She learned to ask the right questions early, surface uncertainty before it becomes a problem, and prioritize clarity over unnecessary complexity. Anna views fund accounting as a form of risk management. Clean records, accurate allocations, and thoughtful planning give an investment firm the confidence to move quickly when it matters.
What drew Anna to MVP was the opportunity to help build something alongside people she respected. She wants the people around her to know they can count on her to get the details right, especially under pressure, and to make their work a little easier in the process. Outside of MVP, she enjoys exploring the Bay Area with her child and visiting art museums. She once considered attending art school and still sees a connection between art and accounting. Both require seeing patterns and structure while understanding the larger story behind them.
